Reading Room

I have been doing this little blog for a year now and I love it.

I am allowing myself a moment of semi public reflection on this thing I started. Like many things I am sure it will have an end to its life cycle down the road but I have so loved doing it this past year and aim to continue.

The reading room in my mind is the Morris Reading Room at CU Boulder. It was a library of philosophy books that I felt I always wanted to enter more fully but for reasons which are still opaque to me, the room, the books and philosophy as a whole, remained largely impenetrable.

So here I have tried to reclaim what it means to sit in that room in some regard, in the way that I can. It is a way for me work and bounce around and read and share in a way that I like. Without too many apologies about what or who I am including or if someone might think something is weird or from a suspect source or that I am sharing it without permission (I am) or that it doesn't make sense to have a WS Merwin poem next to an article about AI or economics. ( I disagree). In this little space I am free to share what I please without explaining it.

Thank you for hanging out with me, Etan
